We’ve been busy over at Visual MN and are excited to announce our 2016 Annual Conference to be held Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Mpls Photo Center! Please SAVE THE DATE for the conference and registration for this event will open at noon on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
For this year’s conference, there will be a kickoff party on Friday evening, and we’re bringing back the Print Swap as part of it. Saturday will entail portfolio reviews and workshops that include Location Lighting with Carlos Gonzalez, Audio Recording with Luke Harper, Book Publishing with Angela Jimenez, and much more. Saturday evening will close out the conference with this year’s keynote speaker, Jason Greene. A full schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
More About Our Keynote Speaker:
Jason Greene is an award-winning cinematographer and filmmaker. He received his master’s degree in photography, multimedia and design at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and is currently working as the director of photography at Blue Chalk Media in Portland, Oregon (http://bluechalk.com/).
Jason is passionate about social issues and is dedicated to documenting them through multimedia storytelling through collaborative efforts. He serves on the board for Taking Focus (takingfocus.org), a non-profit organization that was created for visual storytellers by visual storytellers that is dedicated to giving back to the people they document. He also recently completed a documentary entitled 55 Days, which follows a widow who lost her husband while serving in the Middle East and her journey of learning to let go of her loss.

The Mpls Photo Center is where photo professionals and enthusiasts alike come together to work and learn, to discover and experience, to create, exhibit and become members of this unique community dedicated to photography and all its media and processes.
